Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jean Mensa on Tuesday, February 28 gave a presentation at the invitation of Parliament on a draft Constitutional Instrument(CI) before the House.

The Commissioner and her team were invited to share their views on the draft CI.

The CI before Parliament seeks to promote the continuous registration of voters and advocates for an all year round
registration of eligible voters at the district offices of the EC.

It is a clear departure from the previous system where voters registration was done for a limited period.

Under the new proposal, anyone who is eligible to vote can simply walk into any of the District Offices of the Commission in the District where he/she intends to vote and register to vote.
