Ahafo Regional Office Complex Gets NHIS Office

As part of efforts to open up the operations of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in the country, the Scheme has inaugurated an office Complex at Mim in the Asunafo North Municipal for Ahafo Region.

The Chief Executive Officer of the NHIS, Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye as part of his working visit to the Ahafo Region also inaugurated Asunafo North Municipal office complex in Goaso and and Asutifi North District office complex at Kenyasi.

The Ahafo office complex also forms part of a series of new projects being executed in the Ahafo Region.

Dr Okoe-Boye reiterated his administration’s support to make the office functional and therefore called on residents in to region to enroll into the NHIS.

Dr. Okoe Boye also pledge his administration commitment to end co-payment at hospitals.

The Ahafo Regional Minister Hon George Boakye said the project among other projects emerging in towns in the region has shamed critics of the creation of the new regions by president Akufo Addo.

Hon. George Boakye said the acceleration of developmental projects and people getting access into various departments and agencies at their door-steps informed the president to create Ahafo Region.

The Paramount Chief of Mim, Nana Okoforobour Yaw Adjei II, said the people of region was grateful to President Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP government for the huge investment on education, water, roads and health facilities in the region.

Nana Yaw Adjei II cited the $8m Mim water project and Construction of Mim Polyclinic and other projects at Mim SHS as legacy of the NPP administration.
