Delhi Public School lnternational, one of the revered international schools located in Tema, Ghana over the weekend held a special graduation ceremony for A Level Class of 2023 of the school with some cultural performances at the school’s premises.

The short but colourful graduation ceremony was held in the school’s auditorium on Saturday June 24, 2023 which brought together parents and guardians who celebrated in the success of their wards.

In all, a total of 78 Class of A- Level Students graduated on the day with the Boys Prefect of the school Shriman Jha receiving a full Scholarships to further his Education at the Harvard University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Mukesh Thakwani, Owner and Director of the School said; “From here, what you have acquired today is going to help you in a long way in your life”.

“My dear Students, this is a day to be more responsible, a day of becoming Mature citizens for tomorrow”.

“I’m very proud to say that I have seen a lot Engineers, Doctors, Scientists and Entrepreneurs in you, whenever I interact with you, it gives me enough pleasure and I feel proud that DPS Students are not only going to be the best citizens but at the same time they will make their parents and Ghana proud wherever they find themselves in future, and I want you to give them a run of applause.”

“My dear students wherever you will be going I know you will be flying high”.

” I have some advice for you, First and foremost never forget your books, make sure you stick to your books and don’t forget your parents as well, who have gone through so much troubles to put you in one of the best schools in Ghana, DPS lnternational, you are really blessed to have such parents, let’s give them a run of applause“.

“It is very important that we should be always grounded to our rules by making sure that whatever the society have taught us and whatever we have learnt from society and our parents will be inbided in us so that we can pass it on to the next generation.”

“Secondly, I will say that as you are going to the open world, make new friends, always look forward to making new friends, try to learn from each other, always have a list of questions in your mind and try to always find answers to it”.

“Always look for new opportunities and see how you can make the best out of it in order to make DPS and your parents proud”.

“Another advice I will like to give to you is that whenever you go to the new world or place, sometimes things will not go the way you expected, but don’t give up, keep believing in yourself, keep believing in what you have learnt in DPS, Never give, don’t forget your rules, ones you know the basics, what you have been taught here, am sure that you are going to go a long way in life”

The School was established in 2010 in Tema, a suburb in Accra purposely for academic excellence, wholistic development of the students, and preparing students on a global platform by renowned lndian industrialist and philanthropist, Mukesh Thakwani.
