Actor cum Politician, Fred Nuamah on Tuesday announced his decision to withdraw from the Ayawaso West Wuogon National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries.

Speaking in an interview on UTV midday news he disclosed he has been offered a new position which will make it impossible to contest.

"We don't need a divided front and so to unite the party in the constituency one person needs to step down and so when I was given the offer to help the party at the national level, I decided to pick that and drop this. I've been offered to be part of Mahama's team. It's a promotion for me and because I can't contest at the same time, I decided to drop one" he explained.
