Professor Joseph Osafo has urged Ghanaians to be responsible citizens and ensure they do the right thing.

The Senior Psychologist at the University of Ghana expressed worry over the indiscipline of some Ghanaians towards national development.

He bemoaned the culture where some Ghanaians erect buildings and other structures at unauthorized places as well as engaging in activities that threaten lives and properties.

Speaking on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo", Professor Joseph Osafo admonished the citizenry to "stop our irresponsible behaviors".

He stated that "sometimes, the demons we think are around us are actually in us. Our attitudes, there is the need for us to be disciplined" and stressed that "what we are doing to ourselves in this country has nothing to do with prayer".

He further advised every individual to exhibit the spirit of nationalism, hence reminding the population that nation building is a deliberate act, "not magic".
