The much-talked-about Ghana Football Association (GFA) Congress to select the next Boss of Ghana football will take place on Friday June 17, 2011. The programme should have been held about two months ago, but a series of legal wranglings prevented it. To be held at Accra, the congress would be graced by the cr�me-de-la-creme of Ghana football. The highlight of the congress is the election of the next GFA president. Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi, the incumbent GFA president, is the sole candidate for the top seat. This follows the disqualification of his four contenders including Vincent Sowah Odotei and Neil Armstrong Mortagbe. Judging from his splendid works for Ghana soccer so far, connoisseurs are predicting a landslide acclamation by congress to enable Lawyer Nyantakyi to steer the affairs of Ghana soccer to higher heights.
