NPP Parliamentary Primaries: I Will Beat Him Mercilessly to Pulp - KT Hammond Threatens Main Contender
Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa and Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon. KT Hammond, has threatened to beat his main contender, Benefo Darkwa, mercilessly to pulp.
According to him, Benefo Darkwa allegedly attacked his supporters with macho men in the wee hours of the elections.
KT Hammond who was seen angrily talking to senior police officers at the election grounds, did not mince words and was not even deterred by the presence of uniformed police officers who were guarding the area.
"I am going to ensure that he is mercilessly beaten to pulp; we have voted here for 24 years, and I have never seen such an act before. How can that stupid boy, Benefo Darkwa, do that to supporters?" he quizzed.
“I have voted in this constituency for over 20 years. Nothing happens every time. Last night at this place, there were body-built men beating up some of my followers. After the fight, some of the macho guys came to my house to beg me. But I want to tell you, Mr. Commander, that I will give him two types of showdown. I will beat and humiliate him here and then organize for him to be beaten physically," he added.
The NPP is holding its parliamentary primaries today, January 27, 2024, to select candidates for the 2024 general elections.
The primaries are taking place in all 275 constituencies across the country, except for those where the party has no sitting MPs or where the party lost in the 2020 elections.
