AfYEF Launches 'Trade Queen Africa'

The AfCFTA Young Entrepreneurs Federation has launched the 2024 'Trade Queen Africa' to empower women across Africa in trade.

Trade Queen Africa is a beauty pageant that aims to select exceptional young ladies to champion Africa and promote trade and investment.

Speaking at the launch, the President of AFYEF, Mr. Siita Sofo Hissan, outlined the urge of the Federation to sensitize women and youth on the AfCFTA by offering training, networking opportunities, and facilitating access to investments.

He said the pageantry involves about 28 African countries.

He stated that through this pageantry, the Federation seeks to educate women and youths through the entertainment aspect as to what entrepreneurship is all about and to encourage them to take part in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Also at the launch, CEO of the Trade Fair, Dr. Agnes Adu, said that they will support this Trade Queen Africa through the exhibition of items that will attract other foreign countries and other African countries to this event, and they will also provide their support through sponsorship for the 'Trade Queen Africa'.

She continued that the Trade Fair is putting up a new exhibition center, and by November, the first exhibition hall will be completed.
