Will a Ghanaian Ambassador to the US tell Joe Biden How to Run His Country? - Pratt Fires US Ambassador

Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, has expressed his disappoint and displeasure for the seeming interference of some western diplomats in the ongoing discussion about the passage of Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, otherwise known as the Anti-Gay Bill.

According to the veteran Journalist, the western communities who are trying to dictate to Ghana on how to rule the nation is out of order and should not be entertained nor encouraged.

Speaking on Tuesday’s edition of 'Kokrokoo' Morning Show on Peace FM, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. disclosed that, the western world, especially, the United States of America and her ambassador, has no right to tell the government of Ghana what to do considering the fact that Ghana is a sovereign state.

He said, "I am more concerned about the westerners who do not respect us, yet wasn’t to dictate to us on how to govern our country. We can also make the best choice for our country. Whether LGBTQ+ is good for us or not, let us decide on that not allow any external pressure to force us into doing things that does not represent us as Ghanaians."

Mr. Pratt continued by saying that, the disrespect being unleashed on Ghanaians is as a result of the inability of Ghanaians to be self-reliant.

He added that, if Ghanaians and the leaders of the country made policies that is geared towards trading and doing business amongst African countries, the western world will not have the effrontery in telling us what to do and what not to do.

"We have allowed ourselves to be trampled on by some ambassadors, especially the US Ambassador. This is distasteful. Will a Ghanaian Ambassador to the US tell Joe Biden how to run his country?"

"I have not said I am against gay rights neither have I said I am in favour of it. But what I am upset about is the western interference."
