‘We Shall Deploy Drones To Monitor December Polls’- NDC Reveals

The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has announced that the NDC has strategic plans to deploy drones to monitor the December 7 general elections within the Greater Accra region.

The primary focus for this strategy, according to the Greater Accra Chairman, is to secure over two million votes for the party during the elections.

This initiative has become necessary because the NDC, according to the chairman believes that strategically monitoring the elections at the polling station level would help secure the millions they envisage to garner.

With a targeted goal of securing over two million votes in the region, the NDC perceives this endeavour as pivotal in shaping the election’s outcome while preventing any electoral irregularities.

Ashie Moore disclosed that comprehensive plans are already in motion, including the training of personnel tasked with operating the drones.

He said to supporters of the NDC, “Next week, we are going to train constituency executives on how to use drones to monitor what happens during the elections.”

Although specifics regarding the deployment remain undisclosed, Ashie Moore stressed the party’s commitment to securing all necessary resources for a smooth electoral process.

This special initiative was made known to the party faithful during the Candidate Mahama’s Greater Accra’s edition of the ‘Building Ghana Tour’.

During the two day tour which started on Monday 11th March, 2024, Former President and flagbearer of NDC is expected to meet Traders and business owners within the Greater Accra region. John Mahama called on the members of the NDC to be more vigilant.

One of the key things in this election is going to be vigilance. We can do all the campaigning we want but if we are not vigilant on the day and don’t cover every polling station with eagle eyes, you will do everything you can and not achieve the objective that you want and so in Greater Accra in particular, we want you to cover your polling stations with the best party agents.”
