Stop Buying Funeral Clothes And Invest In Your Child’s Education – Assemblyman Urges Parents

The Assemblymember for Wuxor, Have, and Sremanu Electoral Area, Japhet Festus Gbede is encouraging parents in his Electoral Area to prioritize investing in their children’s education over buying material things, such as GTP clothes. 

During a meeting with the PTA and SMC of Have M/A Basic School in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region, the Assemblymember emphasized that investing in education is the key to closing the poverty gap and transforming the lives of students in the future.

He also discouraged residents from engaging in harmful practices towards one another and urged parents to focus their resources and energy on educating their children, especially young girls who are at risk of teenage pregnancy.

He further stated that education is the foundation for a better future and it’s important to invest in it. 

The Assemblymember also pledged to work with the government to provide more resources for schools in the area, including scholarships from the MPs Common Fund, School feeding Program, and other educational materials for the schools.

He believes that by investing in education, the community will be able to create a brighter future for themselves and their children. He urged parents to take advantage of the opportunities available to them and ensure that their children receive a quality education.

The Assemblymember ended his speech by calling on all stakeholders in the community to work together towards improving educational outcomes for all students in the area.
