NDC Executives Snub Nana Konadu

Former First Lady and an aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential slot, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, was reportedly subjected to some moments of frustration when the partys regional and constituency executives in the Brong Ahafo region boycotted her Campaign Teams invitation to a meeting. The former First Lady was billed to meet the constituency executives of the party at five different locations to discuss her desire to lead the NDC and canvass for their votes in the impending congress. Sadly, however, none of the executives showed up at any of the locations, according to reports. The Brong Ahafo (B/A) Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Opoku Atuahene, who disclosed this in an interview with Alhassan Suhini on Radio Gold, an Accra-based private radio station, also revealed that the executives failed to showed up at the meeting because they believe the agenda will serve no purpose to them. I had information from the constituencies that they said they were not going to the meeting with the First Lady because they do not think it was worth meeting her so in effect none of them turned up at all the five locations, he disclosed. According to him, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC and Spokesperson for the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams called to inform him that they were not having access to the constituency executives as virtually all of they had refused to grant her audience. I received a call from Kofi Adams that they are not getting the constituency executives to deliberate with them, but I told them to keep calling because they are in their various constituencies. He told me the constituency executives refused to receive her even though they were billed to meet that afternoonbut none turned up, he disclosed.
