Ghana-Nigeria Friendly Match In London Set For Launch

The official launch of August�s friendly match between Ghana and Nigeria will be held in England on Wednesday. The event will be held at the Ghana High Commission in London to confirm the participation of both countries in the game scheduled for 9 August. In attendance will be Nigeria coach Samson Siasia and Ghana FA board members and spokesman Randy Abbey. Ghana captain John Mensah and John Pantsil are expected at the event while two un-named Super Eagles players will also speak to the media at the event. Match organiser Justin Addo is expected to unveil plans for the game which will spark fresh rivalry between the two countries. �We will use the launch to announce the important arrangements we are making for Africa�s biggest national team rivalry,� Addo told Ghanasoccernet.com. �There is a huge Nigerian and Ghanaian community in the UK and other parts of Europe who are keen on this game and we will make things easy for them to be able to bring their friends and families to the game. �Even though the game will be played in England, people in Africa are also interested in coming ot watch the match while those who will stay home want to see the game. �We will make all these plans available at the press launch on Wednesday.� Ghana beat Nigeria 4-1 in their previous friendly held in London and the Super Eagles are keen for a revenge to appease their fans in England.Black Stars fans want to maintain their bragging rights.
