Faith Evangelical Mission support Childrens hospital

The Faith Evangelical Mission, Mataheko branch, as part of its annual health walk, has donated food items worth GH 2,000 to the Princess Marie Louise Childrens Hospital, in Accra on Friday. The items included 4 bags of rice, 1 bag of maize, ten cartoons of milk, fruit juice, bread, baby diapers, court sheets and napkins, detergents, toilet roll and toys among other things. Presenting the items, Reverend Ebenezer Okor Aryee, Head pastor of the Church, said the gesture was to support the hospital to delivery good healthcare to children. He also said the donation was a response to the call made by Jesus Christ in the Holy Bible for humankind to show compassion for little children and the needy in society. Rev. Aryee said the Church had also donated items to childrens homes and the Accra Psychiatric Hospital. He explained that the health walk would help keep members of the church in good health to enable them to worship God ceaselessly. Rev. Aryee called on Christians to show love and compassion for the needy as Jesus Christ demonstrated to his disciplines, and appealed to individuals, organisations and all religious bodies to support the hospital. Mrs Emelda Akusah, Superintendent Enrol Nurse in-charge of the Out Patient Department, who received the items on behalf of the Hospital, thanked the church for the support. She assured the church that the items would be fairly distributed to the beneficiaries. Mrs Akusah appealed to individuals and organisations to assist the hospital to build more medical infrastructure to facilitate health delivery. Members of the church, who were educated on good health, balanced diet, physical education, distribute religious literature to the public as a way of propagating the gospel.
