Mills Splashes Posters In Sunyani

President Mill's campaign team has been cited in profligate spending in the run-up to the Saturday congress in Sunyani, as thousands of his campaign posters have been splashed all over the Sunyani Municipality. In fact, there is no single space that has not been covered by the presidents posters amidst some other giant billboards announcing his flagbearship bid. Electric polls, private buildings, school buildings, among others, have been at the receiving end of the presidents campaign posters. The situation is such that the Konadu camp has very little space to paste the posters of their political idol, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, wife of the partys founder who is bent on unseating the president. What can be described as the overt display of cash has become a concern for residents and election watchers, who have said the president has not lived up to his 2008 campaign message of ensuring austerity measures even during electioneering campaign period. Residents say they have now come to realize that the GH90m that was said to have been earmarked by the Mills team for the congress is very true. According to them, the spraying of cash by the presidency towards Prof Mills re-election bid was unprecedented in Ghanas intra-party leadership contest. This, they noted, has given credence to the GH90m alleged campaign money that was said to have been allocated by the NDC government to mount a vigorous campaign to ensure that the president is elected the flagbearer of his party. Meanwhile, most roads in the municipalities that have not seen any renovation for so many years have now been given a facelift. The Regional Hospital-Kotokrom-Techiman Road is being renovated, whilst streets that lead to some of the hotels have been booked for delegates and party functionaries.
