Sammy Kuffuor has risked angering Ghana legend Abedi Pele by stating that the three-time African Player of Year is not among the best two African players ever. The two have not been on good terms since the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations when the ex-Bayern Munich player was booted out of the Black Stars camp. Kuffuor was sacked from the Ghana team during the tournament in Mali for breaking camping rules.But the ex-defender pointed accusing fingers at Abedi, who was then the deputy Ghana FA boss, which sparked the uneasy relationship between the two. Many in Ghana and indeed across the continent believe that Abedi Pele should be the second best if not the best player from Africa.
