Our dear motherland, my compatriots, may never know how much a weeny nomination cost her. Some ninety million cedis, contemporary Ghana or old Ghana, they say. That money spent on only three thousand one hundred and twenty-five congresspeople to nominate an incumbent president as congress flagbearer cannot be money well spent. That�s what you get when you vote greedy bastards and kleptocrats to run a motherland. Greedy bastards and kleptocrats are money crazy. No matter how much money they steal and spend, they always want more. So an ordinary, just ordinary, nomination should cost those cedi millions. Ninety million for three thousand one hundred and twenty-five, by simple arithmetic, is twenty eight thousand eight hundred apiece. Imagine what the motherland could do with that kind of money for her development. Three delegates� money of eighty-six thousand four hundred could complete the state-of-the-art head-start kindergarten my community has built to a roofed stage. With that amount, a new patriot will build you a six-classroom block with an office and toilet facilities. A congressman or congresswoman will need about three times that much, over two hundred thousand cedis, if it is in Kufuor�s redenominated Ghana cedi that is, money for six congress nomination delegates to construct a similar project. So if congress definition of development is sod-cutting, you should understand. My compatriots, it is not just that you should understand that congress development is sod-cutting. You should decide whether a government is elected to sod-cut or to construct. A true development for the motherland requires quality time for planning programmes and the implementation of those programmes. The driver, pilot or captain in the person of the first citizen requires seconds, minutes, hours, days and months to plan and implement projects over his or her forty-eight month mandate. Campaigning for nomination to contest an election, normally towards the end of a forty-eight month mandate, began less than half time into that mandate. For the past how many months, it has been nomination, nomination, and more nomination campaign. Honestly, my compatriots, this is shortchanging the motherland. It is so unfair; so, so unfair to the motherland. They talk about dividends of democracy. This is cost of democracy; unnecessary cost at that. Congress of talk acronyms has come out with one million of them in a teeny nomination contest. Compare congress PAMSCAD and patriotic LEAP and there, right away is the former talk and the latter deed. It�s a joke but no joke, my compatriots; because the motherland needs development. With all the resources, human knowhow and natural physical endowment, all we need are simple management skills in the persons elected to lead her. Nominating for election is now a matter of bribery by con people who trumpet no-corruption and end up stealing to build mansions two years in office. Even as I write, you will find some of these devilish saints who have not declared their assets. Just take a list of the designated to the Auditor-General�s and check them. See the �I will jail them� pretensions. An appeal to a sound judgment, we were told a long time ago, is now being rehashed with banner headline for tiny nomination votes. Congresspeople, what a hapless group! Congresspeople should keep lying. My compatriots will decide in 2012. Hopefully, forty thousand will not waste their votes on congress of despondency. The forty thousand who were deceived will wise up and change their votes to throw out that wasteful congress of greedy brothers and sisters. Just watch it. The rest of the mandate is going to be spent on re-election. All the money and time available or borrowed because it is unavailable will be spent on a re-election campaign. So my compatriots, that dreadful decision of the thumb to hand over the leadership of the motherland to a bunch of congress kleptocrats and greedy bastards has left a motherland groping for development even in her best times of bumper resource in oil and cocoa and gold money. My compatriots, come December 7, 2012, remember the pain of dissipation of resources by a permanently campaigning group of selfish congresspeople who have drastically slowed the motherland�s development. They should be told in the face that the motherland has had enough of them and voted out. Henceforth, let us see how we can monitor our oil and cocoa and gold earnings, vis-�-vis how many mansions are erected and how many of Kufuor�s uncompleted housing units, Nsawam and Nkawkaw bypasses, Achimota-Ofankor, Tetteh Quarshie-Pantang and Aflao roads, Sofoline and Asokwa interchanges will be completed. Let us see whether the only road to my district capital and your district capital and the dusty roads in front of our houses will be tarred by then by the thieving congress administration which organizes hugeously expensive weeny nomination.
