Nana Konadu Is A Stubborn Cat Alhaji Bature

Managing Editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu, has described former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, as a pigheaded individual person who has heedlessly marched on to her own grave and slaughter house to be politically butchered. At last, the battle has ended and Im excited and elatedeverybody now agrees with me when i said that President Mills should run unopposedBut if you have a stubborn cat, that is the result you get, he said. According to Alhaji Bature, despite the obvious massacre awaiting her, Mrs. Konadu Rawlings refused to be swayed from the impending humiliation, adding that he never imagined that the former President would allow the wife to run against President Mills, knowing Nana Konadus political experiences and credentials. That was why he (Bature) harboured the strong feeling that Mr Rawlings might eventually prevail on his wife to quit the contest. Nana Konadu is a person who is politically abreast, her husband is also politically matured and for this reason I cant imagine Rawlings and his wife leading themselves to the slaughter house, he said. Speaking to Bobie Ansah on Asempa FM, Alhaji Bature maintained that the demeanor of the delegates when the former First Lady was called upon to address the gathering, should have served as a note of caution to her that she had overstayed her welcome. But you see, there is something we call stubbornness. Nana Konadu is so stubborn; everything showed that she should have backed out. In fact, a forth night to the congress, people spoke to her to quit, but she refused. Meanwhile, from every indication it was clear she was going to be humiliatedLook, when they entered the arena (congress grounds), there was muted acknowledgement of their arrival and that should have sent a strong signal to them, Alhaji Bature said. He surmised that the NDC delegates knew voting for any other candidate apart from Mills will be tantamount to them going back into opposition. For someone who toiled for 19years, I least expected former president Rawlings to allow his legacy to be hooted away, he added.
