Junior Agogos Trial With Hibernian In The Balance

Junior Agogos plans of winning a deal with Scottish side Hibernian is in the balance because torrential rainfall affected a pre-season game for the clubs coach to observe the Ghana striker. Hibs manager Colin Calderwood has admitted that his plans for Agogo have been disrupted by the abandonment of Saturdays friendly against Barnsley. The match against Barnsley was cancelled because of a waterlogged pitch at Easter Road. Hibernian have a friendly against Falkirk on Tuesday but Hibernian are uncertain whether he will play in that game. The call-off prevented Calderwood having another chance to assess triallist Cillian Sheridan or see Ghanaian forward Junior Agogo. No, said Calderwood, when asked if the pairs trials would roll on to the clubs friendly away to Falkirk on Tuesday. The agreement was for them to play this game. That hasnt happened so I wouldnt think so. The game not going ahead will probably be quite a big factor in our preparations (for next Sundays SPL opener at home to Celtic]. It determined what we planned today and tomorrow and well have to readjust. Thankfully, we have that game at Falkirk. It is understood that various English scouts were to have watch the game on Saturday before monsoon conditions in the capital put paid to the fixture. This could have handed Agogo the chance to impress the agents.
