SAMIR NASRI is happy to sit out his Arsenal contract and quit for nothing next summer. The French midfielder has told Gunners team-mates he definitely will NOT sign a new deal at the club.
He will snub the �115,000-a-week contract being offered by Arsenal in the hope of forcing a �20million move to Manchester City.
Nasri, who travelled to Germany yesterday for a friendly against Cologne this afternoon, has told club pals he would still be happy to stay at the Emirates for the final year of his contract.
Asked last night whether Nasri's future at Arsenal is sorted, boss Arsene Wenger said: "Not completely but I want him to stay. He knows that. "Hopefully we can sort that out in the coming weeks."
During Arsenal's recent tour of the Far East, Wenger said he was hopeful both Nasri and Cesc Fabregas would stay. Nasri was then offered the massive �115,000-a-week deal but has been quick to turn it down.
If the Frenchman sits tight and sees out his current contract, then Fabregas is likely to finally move to Barcelona. However, if Nasri's ultimatum to Arsenal forces through the move to City, Fabregas may have to spend another year at the Emirates.
