Feud At National Security! Over NDC Congress Cash!

Serious tension is mounting at the Blue Gate, the headquarters of National Security in Accra following a heated bone of contention that has reared its ugly head between the Security Personnel and their authorities days after the magnificent congress of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) took place at Sunyani, the capital of Brong Ahafo region. The argument between the peeved National Security Personnel and the powers that be at the helm of affairs at the nations security base follows the amount of monies paid to the security personnel as their allowances for the number of days they spent at the recently held NDC congress to ensure law and order at the congress grounds. The Searchlight newspaper has learned that about five buses full of the National Security personnel were sent to the congress grounds at Sunyani where they spent four clear days after which they were bussed back together with some members of the ruling party to Accra. We have further learned that upon returning to their home base in Accra they were given an amount of twenty Ghana cedis (GH20) each as their allowance for the four days work they executed at Sunyani which amount they found as very meager and an insult to their integrity. The peeved personnel, according to reliable sources within the facility, claimed that considering the number of days they spent at Sunyani cum the kind of work they exhibited at the congress the GH20.00 was nothing to write home about, but rather, it is an insult to them. Speaking in an angry mood, they maintained their checks within the Ghana police Service (GPS) and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) the personnel from these two security institutions who were also taken to the Sunyani congress were paid substantial allowances, and therefore, they dont understand why they were given such a meager amount. When asked how much amount was given to their colleagues from both the military and the police - the disgruntled National Security Personnel could not tell but insisted that their colleagues were paid something substantial per their information. My brother, how can we go through this ordeal for clear four days and be given this amount as our allowances? It is a clear insult on our integrity, one of the security personnel disclosed to the Daily Searchlight under strict condition of anonymity for fear of retribution from the authorities. They maintained that they suspect something fishy had gone on regarding the amount they we to be paid.
