World Cup 2014 Draw: Ghana Up Against Zambia, Sudan

The Black Stars of Ghana has been drawn alongside Zambia,Sudan and the winner of the 1st round match between Lesotho-Burundi in Group D of the African qualifiers to the FIFA 2014 World Cup to be staged in Brazil. The 24 lowest-ranked participating associations from Africa will contest round one. Those teams were allocated to two pots of 12 teams based on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World ranking of July; the 12 highest ranked teams and the 12 lowest rank teams. They will then be drawn against each other to play over two legs on home and away basis between 11 and 15 November 2011. The winners of those matches advance to round two,where they will join the remaining 28 teams from the region . The 40 teams were drawn into ten round-robin,home-and-away groups,each consisting of four nations. The ten group winners advance to round three. Two stars of Brazil's past and present, Cafu and Neymar assisted with the draw for the African zone.
