Ambrose Dery Is Best Choice For Nana Addo Political Analyst

Political analyst, Dr. Kwesi Jonah says the deputy Minority Leader in Parliament, Ambrose Dery would be a better running mate to the NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo for the 2012 general elections than any of the names being floated as possibilities. Dr. Jonah prefers the Lawra Nandom MP to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who partnered Nana Akufo-Addo in 2008 and former NPP youth organizer, Mustapha Hamid who the Globe newspaper reports are the forerunners for the NPP running mate slot. According to the newspaper, a senior party official close to Nana Akufo-Addo hinted that the NPP flagbearer does not intend to change the northern running mate tradition of his party. Dr. Jonah said although the three personalities who are all northerners are viable candidates, Mr. Dery stands out and could boost the chances of the NPP. When Bawumia became the running mate last elections, what exactly did he bring to the ticket? Bawumia if Nana Addo wins can contribute so much as a very fine and well experienced minister of finance. Looking at Mustapha Hamid, this is a very youthful person, very articulate and the guy knows how to speak and speak well. Ambrose Dery is very experienced and comes from an area where the NPP is very weak. This guy has been able to capture a seat in an area where the NPP is virtually weak. If these are the candidates Nana Akufo-Addo is going to look at, I would stick my neck out for Ambrose Dery Dr. Jonah has however advised the NPP flagbearer not to limit his search for a running mate to just the three names that have been published by the Globe, contending that there could be other qualified candidates who can equally take up the running mate slot. The choice need not be restricted to only these three candidates. There are other good people that Nana Addo should be looking at Dr. Jonah added.
