Frances Assiam To Escort Daily Post Editor To NACOB

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Adenta in the Greater Accra Region, Frances Assiam, has volunteered to accompany Editor of the Daily Post newspaper, Michael Dokosi to the offices of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) for him to present his evidence that incriminates the NPP flagbearer of indulging in illicit drugs. Michael Dokosi claims "Nana Akufo-Addo smokes marijuana" and also believes the one-time Attorney-General was once busted at the JFK airport for possession of wee. According to him, when he (Nana) was questioned about the presence of the substance in his luggage, he (Nana) said it was for medicinal purposes. My position still remains the samewe still stand by the two allegations that have been made. The first one was that he (Nana) was the one who was arrested with wee in his possession, and the second being that he smokes wee the first allegation is what they are dealing with leaving the second allegation. The question is, does he smoke marijuana? We are answering that he smokes marijuana which makes him unfit to handle a high position in the country. Certainly we stand by our story that he was the one who was arrested at John F. Kennedy airport," Dokosi said. But lawyers for the NPP flagbearer obviously weary of hearing the constant mantra that Akufo-Addo sniffs cocaine, he smokes wee and was once arrested, have publicly released the evidence to silence critics and to clear doubts in the minds of Ghanaians about their client. They have also dared all accusers to provide evidence to that effect or shut up. Speaking as a panelist on Metro TVs Good Morning Ghana programme, Frances Assiam said: how could someone come out and say something without evidence and it is accepted? It means another person can come out without evidence and say President Mills needs a psychiatric examination Akufo Addo and Dokosi are walls apart and discerning Ghanaians who read in between the lines will see the work the NDC is trying to do. I am challenging Dokosi that if he does not know the way to NACOB office, I will offer my whole day to direct him to the NACOB office. The young gentleman needs to be put to orderNothing can damage Nanas image, hes in South Africa making Ghana proud and nothing can divert his attention from what he intends to do She urged Ghanaians to look forward to the next line of action to be embarked on by the NPP, adding that they (NPP) will employ every means to ensure that the matter is laid to rest permanently. we will have to call him to provide the evidence, Ghanaians will see and at the end of the day people will shut up beautifully, she added.
