Kwadwo Asamoah, Agyemang-Badu To Face Arsenal In Champions League

Udinese Ghanaian duo Kwadwo Asamoah and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu face a tough task in qualification to the Champions League after drawing Arsenal. The two players are expected to play key roles for the Little Zebras against the English giants. Asamoah was a regular in the Udinese team which placed fourth in the Serie A while Badu was a bit-part player. But Badu, a midfield powerhouse, hit top form in the off-season by scoring two goals in three international matches for Ghana. Elsewhere, John Mensahs Olympique Lyon will play Russian giants Rubin Karzan for one of the five qualification slots. The first legs will be played on 16/17 August and the returns a week later. The ten winners will join the 22 automatic entrants in the Uefa Champions League Group stage. The draw for the pools will be held in Monaco on 22 August.
