Ghana U-23 Coach Wants Foreign-Based Stars For All Africa Games

Akwasi Appiah is looking to add about three foreign players to augment his squad ahead of the All Africa Games in September. The Black Meteors coach however admits to the difficulty in securing the players since the tournament is not a Fifa sanctioned event. I am looking to add I think three foreign players for the tournament but it is looking very dicey, Appiah exclusively told GHANAsoccernet.com. So we are looking at players who either play in the reserve leagues or the team B of their clubs but it is really difficult especially in September when foreign leagues are in full session. Ghana has been drawn in a group already fit to be described as the group of death alongside Cameroon, Senegal and Uganda. The tournament starts on 3 September.
