Adu Kofi Aiming For Europa Spot

Ghana youth international Enoch Adu Kofi has come on in leaps and bounds this season for his Danish side FC Norsjaelland. The 20-year-old midfielder named man-of-the match in Norsjaellands barren draw with Sporting Lisbon last Thursday in the Uefa Europa League. Kofi hopes his side can progress in Europes second-tier club competition and on his development in an interview with footafrica365.fr Do you think your Portuguese opponents have changed since last season? This year they are even stronger than last season. They have very technical players, who do not hesitate to attack. With players of this caliber, the danger can come from anywhere, at any time. What is your feeling after the game ended? We had a difficult start, but once the pattern desired game was up, it was ok. Our goal was to defend well to avoid taking a goal at home, like last year. Once the defensive block in place, we tried to attack by counters. Unfortunately, we did not score. But the team was much disciplined, all players were shooting in the same direction, and its a great satisfaction. We must remember the superb organization of the team for this match. Are you optimistic for the second leg? The team hopes to continue the adventure in this competition. Our goal is to play fair. If we get there we can expect something. If we approach the second leg in the same spirit, there is no reason we cannot beat them. We can exit Sporting. What do you say about your last three games where you have put up excellent performances (Voted Man of the Match twice)? I am currently in a good shape, but in football, all the success comes when we work a lot, and when one acquires the ability to stay focused. Right now, its true, I make good matches, and hopefully it will continue like that, but it is also the team who managed to get back on track after a difficult start.
