Informer Newspaper Is Edited By Koku Anyidoho - MP For Manhyia

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia, Dr Matthew Opoku-Prempeh aka Napo has described as baseless and senseless a report by The Informer newspaper which suggested that he was bent on removing his colleague Dan Kwaku Botwe, MP for the Okere constituency from Parliament. The paper carried a story in its Monday-Tuesday, August 16, 2011 edition under the headline, I will make sure Dan Botwe loses Okere seat-Napo, in which it claimed to have stumbled on a supposed intelligence report which indicated that Napo was employing various means to dislodged Dan because the latter hated him. There is no iota of truth in this matter, I challenge The Informer or its reporter or whoever put out that story to just substantiate, he told Daily Guide in an interview. I think Informer has taken me as a target and is going all out to write what it wants about me. Hon Dan Botwe has indeed confirmed that he has no problem whatsoever with the Manhyia MP and does not want to believe he has any intention against him since they enjoy a pretty good relation, adding that they have common sense of purpose and destiny to help the NPP and its presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo win the 2012 general elections. In spite of this, Napo said, I leave Ghanaians to judge but I have not said anything. The Director of Elections for the NPP, Dr Opoku-Prempeh indicated that his current and major pre-occupation is to do whatever it takes to ensure that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wins the 2012 general elections. So my aim is to help Nana Addo win so we have a majority in Parliament. How dare do I say that even a candidate of mine or our party should lose the seat. I will be shooting myself in the foot and for that matter the party in the foot and the trust that has been reposed in me would be destroyed. I would never do such a thing.
