Late Toure Strike Hands Kotoko Victory Over Wolves

Striker Ahmed Toure came off the subs bench to clinch a 1-0 victory for Asante Kotoko in their friendly game against Nigeria�s Warri Wolves on Sunday. The reigning Premier League best player however spurned a penalty kick earlier in the game but was able to salvage himself on the stroke of full time when he broke the deadlock in the 95th minute. The game was also used to outdoor seven new signings acquired by the club during the off-season and they all gave a good account of themselves. The players include; Amos Frimpong, Sakko Iddrisu (Burkinabe import), Richard Yeboah and Patrick Kalu. The others are Mumuni Mustapha, Rahman Abdulai and star striker Kofi Nti-Boakye. Attendance to the stadium was very encouraging as fans were curious to see for themselves whether the team�s training tour of Serbia was beneficial. They however they left with mixed feelings with many believing the team needed more time to gel especially after the infusion of the seven new players.
