Wife Of Kwabena Adjei Joins Race

The wife of the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Comfort Adubea Adjei, has picked up nomination forms to contest the Akropong constituency parliamentary seat in the Eastern region. Mrs. Adjei is the NDC chairperson for the constituency. She said the motivation to join the parliamentary race was her desire to contribute her quota to the development of the area. Mrs Adjei told Citi FM she was confident delegates would give her the nod not because she was the wife of the National Chairman, but for her contribution so far in the constituency. The delegates have seen the kind of work I have done. Most of them certainly know the kind of work I have done and they would certainly vote for me to have the victory for the main election. The reception is very perfect and even as I speak now we just came from almost four palaces, we went there and it was wonderful, the chiefs, the people and especially the women, they are so glad to see their fellow woman coming to stand for an election because this is the first time of such a thing in this constituency, she said.
