I'm No US Spy - Nduom

The 2008 flagbearer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum says he takes strong exception to reports that he operates as a protected informant for the United States as reported in the latest leaked diplomatic cables by whistle blower website, Wikileaks. Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom is one of the persons described as a strictly protected source by the US. Mr Charles Kwofie is another strictly protected source in the Wikileaks report. Dr. Nduom is reported to have said in the cables that he supervised the signing of the EO-Kosmos petroleum agreement while Mr. Charles Kwofie was reported as saying Ghana intended acquiring Kosmos shares in the Jubilee Oil Fields and subsequently offloading it to the Chinese. Journalist Kwesi Pratt Jnr. who is reported in the cables as claiming that opposition NPP Flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo uses drugs is also described as a protected source. However, in a reaction on Citi News, Dr Papa Kwesi Ndoum said that although he stands by whatever attributed to him by Wikileaks, people must not tag him as a protected spy operating for the United States. He said that the latest Wikileaks expos must not be blown out of proportion and must be dealt with in its proper contest. Spies are not nice people, spies can sometimes even be shot, they can sometimes cause high treason and so no one should mess around with thatIt is important that people take whatever that is going on in the proper manner and deal with the substance instead of casting insinuations here and there. Anything that anybody has sent that I said I stand by them, I have nothing to hide from anyone. I see diplomats everywhere, I see them from time to time I invite them to my home as people invite me to where they are and it is normal. So no one should come and play any strange game with me.
