If Boakye Gyan Produces An NDC Membership Card, Itll Be A Fake One Kofi Adams

We have learnt lots of lessons from people who are just jumping around and after getting the chance to parliament, cross political carpets (for parochial interests), were the words of Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Kofi Adams on the decision by Major (Rtd) Boakye Gyan to contest for a parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC. The spokesperson of the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) is said to have submitted nomination forms to contest the parliamentary primaries of the NDC for Jaman South Constituency. The ex-soldier, who is very optimistic of breaking the opposition New Patriotic Party's monopoly over the constituency seat, is the only nominee. But though the Deputy General Secretary concedes it was good news for the NDC to have in their fold an ardent critic of the PNDC, albeit now reformed, he challenged Boakye Gyan to prove his membership of at least two years activism in the NDC which qualifies him to stand for elections. I can boldly state that if Boakye Gyan produces an NDC membership card, it will be a fake one, he said adding that Speaking on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen programme, Kofi Adams said if indeed Mr. Gyan is a member of the party, members at the National level would have long ago received the information from the branch level in Jaman South constituency. According to him, because the ex-military officer contested the 2008 Parliamentary elections as an independent candidate, he is disqualified to contest the partys primaries. He was however convinced that the ex-AFRC spokesperson would not even pass the vetting process to lead the NDC in Jaman South for elections 2012.
