Kevin Boateng Doubtful For Sudan Clash

Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng is unlikely to be fit for the Black Stars crucial clash against Sudan early next month because of injury. The AC Milan player has been ruled out of the clubs next two matches against Cesena on Saturday and the clash with Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League in midweek. He could be out for longer because of a rib injury which means he is unlikely to be available when Ghana open camp early next week for the game in Khartoum. Milan have been beset by injuries this season, particularly to their forwards. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Pato are all recovering but according to AC Milan coach Allegri, Boateng will be out for long. Tomorrows basically impossible for Ibrahimovic. On Sunday well see how he and Ambrosini are feeling, Allegri said. They have the best chance of playing in the Champions League but not Boateng. Robinho is getting better. I hope to have him back soon. Ghana must get a result in Sudan to secure Group Is automatic place at the 2012 African Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. Boateng is struggling to recover from a rib injury he suffered while playing for the Italian side in their league opener against Lazio. He aggravated the injury in the 2-2 draw with Barcelona at the Camp Nou in the Uefa Champions League. The former Germany youth international is unlikely to be named in Ghanas squad for next months 2012 Group I Nations Cup decider at Sudan. AC Milan need victory against rock-bottom Cesena on Saturday to start climbing up the table. After taking two points from their opening three games, Milan sit two places above the relegation zone and five points below the early pace-setters.
