Ghana FA To Vet Coaches Next Week

The Ghana Football Association will begin the vetting process for applicants for the national team jobs by next week, MTNFootball.com has learnt. 164 coaches will know their fate by the end of October after going through the meticulous vetting process to authenticate their CVs. Seven of the eight national team jobs are up for grabs with massive interest from local and expatriate coaches. The list includes controversial ex-Asante Kotoko boss Isaac Opeele Boateng alongside Dauda Lutterdrot, Karim Zito, Frimpong Manso, Kuuku Dadzie, Abubakari Yusif. Others are former Liberty Professionals coach Isaac Acquaye, Ken August, Prince Acheampong, Mumuni Gamel and Masawudu Dramani. Oko Aryee, Abraham Allotey, Bashir Hayford and Paa Kwasi Fabin are also among the names. Ex-Ghana internationals C.K Akonnor and Dan Owusu with Fifa referee Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo also vying for the jobs. But the locals must fend off competition from expatriates Hans Vander Plyum and ex-Tema Youth boss Attila Sekerlioglu. The maiden initiative from the Ghana federation is part of plans of president Kwesi Nyantakyi to give fairness and competition in the selection of a national team jobs.
