Kevin Boateng Happy To Silence Critics

AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has expressed his delight with his sides 2-0 Champions League Group H win over BATE Borisov at San Siro on Wednesday. The Ghana international took a touch from 25 yards out and then hammered in via the underside of the bar for the Milans second goal. The 24-year-old was pleased to silence his critics with an important strike. Im very happy, it was very important for us to win. It was a good game we did our job so everythings good, Boateng told the official Uefa website. They played in two banks of four, they were playing very tight, so we didnt have a lot of space I tried my luck a couple of times in the first half and in the end I was very happy to score. Im delighted with the goal, because before the game and last week there were some negative comments made about me and some doubts [suggesting] Im not focused on football. Thats why I went out there today and wanted to prove that I am concentrated on football; so I was delighted to score. AC Milan sit joint top in Group H with Barcelona as both have taken seven points from three encounters. BATE Borisov are bottom of the section, while Viktoria Plzen are in third position.
