Parents Of 'Adolf Hitler' Lose Their Kids

A COUPLE who named their son Adolf Hitler and daughter Aryan Nation have lost custody of their children. The kids were taken into care in January 2009 after parents Heath and Deborah Campbell asked a bakery to make a cake with Adolf's name on it. Bosses at the bakery refused and reported them to the authorities in Flemington, New Jersey, US. Despite covering their home in swastikas and having tattoos of the Nazi symbol, the Campbells insist they are NOT racist. Last year, a court ruled there was sufficient evidence of neglect and abuse to take five-year-old Adolf and his sisters Aryan and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie, both three, into care. But the Campbells are claiming the sole reason their kids are being kept from them is their unusual names. Heath said: "The judge and Division of Youth and Family Services told us that there was no evidence of abuse and that it was the names. They were taken over the children's names." Two years ago, he defended their naming choice, saying: "People should look forward and accept change. The kid isn't going to grow up and do what Hitler did." Mum Deborah said: "I don't sleep, I don't eat much. I miss my kids. Miss their pitter patters on the floor. It's hard. I fall asleep with their pictures." The couple admit they are aware of the names' race hate association but believe that, as Americans, they should be free to call their children what they like. The parents hope to convince a judge in early December that the kids should come home.
