Ghana is in the toughest group for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, Kwasi Nyantakyi has told GHANAsoccernet.com. The Black Stars have been drawn in Group D alongside debutants Botswana and fellow West African neighbours; Mali and Guinea which would be based in the Gabonese city of Franceville. And despite many believing the group is a fairly easy one for the Black Stars to sail through, the Ghana FA boss insists it will be much difficult as instinctly thought off. �Ghana has been placed in a very tough group,� Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi told GHANAsoccernet.com from Malabo where he witnessed the draw. �I think we are in the Group of Death and this means we must hit the ground running with our preparations. �Mali and Guinea have played excellently in recent tournaments of the Africa Cup of Nations and with the quality players they have in Europe we are facing a tough fight. �Even though very few people know of Botswana, the fact that they were the first country to qualify for the tournament even ahead of group opponents Tunisia must tell us of their quality.� The Black Stars seen by many as favourites for the tournament will open their account against Botswana on January 24 in Franceville.
