Daddy Lumba To Rock Accra On November 12

The Accra International Conference Centre is expected to be rocked on Saturday, November 12 by Ghana�s finest high life musician, Charles Kwadwo Fosu aka Daddy Lumba, as he is billed to perform in a live concert alongside some selected highlife music ions. The concert, being organized by Imajin Advertising in collaboration with Adom FM, is dubbed �The Legends And Legacy Ball�. The concert, which is an annual event, seeks to pay homage to music legends that have churned out good hits on the Ghanaian music scene. Artistes billed to perform with Daddy Lumba are expected to perform his various songs. The artistes are Kwaw Kese, Kofi B, Mzbel, Castro, Praye, Wutah, Kofi Nti, Felix Owusu, RANA, and K. K Fosu, among others. From his first album, �Yeeye Aka Akwantuom,� to his latest album, which will be launched at the event, Daddy Lumba told BEATWAVES he would be dishing out good renditions of music from his collection on November 12. With 27 albums to his credit, Daddy Lumba�s songs have over the years yielded more number one and top ten hits than any other Ghanaian musician of our time. In 1999, he won three awards including Best Album and the Most Popular Song of the Year at the maiden edition of the prestigious Ghana Music Awards. Daddy Lumba has collaborated with other top musicians such as A. B. Crentsil, Kwabena Sunkwa, Selina Orleans, Felix Owusu, Akua Serwaa Bonsu, Yaw Micah, Borax and Pat Thomas. At a press conference held at the Erata Hotel at East Legon to launch the event, the general manager of Imajin Advertising noted that the objective of the concert was to stir up the passion of the young and upcoming musicians to work hard to attain the success that the legends have attained. He disclosed that the concert was to honour the music legends. According to him, during the concert, the legends would be presented with plaques and other awards in recognition of their hard work, success and contribution to the entertainment industry.
