"Rawlings And Mills Talk Daily"

A leading member of the NDC, Alfred Woyomi, has stated that contrary to general observations, the relationship between former president JJ Rawlings and incumbent John Evans Mills is smooth. Mr. Rawlings, founder of the ruling NDC, is a staunch critic of his former vice president and now president. The ex-president has accused the current administration of running a very slow system and is unhappy none of the ministers of the erstwhile J. A Kufuor government has been jailed. An NDC Member of Parliament of Shai Osudoku, David Tetteh Assumeng, has given an end of year ultimatum to his national executives to resolve the strained relationship between the two leaders of the party or resign. However, Woyomi told Citi Eyewitness News on Wednesday that both Rawlings and Mills consult daily on national and party issues in spite of their differences of opinions."Nobody can make Rawlings irrelevant," Woyomi said."Anybody that feels Rawlings is not the founder of the NDC then [that person] is not a member of NDC. Everybody is free to comment. Rawlings and Mills talk every day, who say they don't talk? They do talk, but opinions differ."
