Libya Returnees Pray For Gaddafi

Hundreds of Ghanaian returnees from Libya in Tamale have organised a special prayer session on November 3 in memory of the late Libyan leader, Brother Muammar Gaddafi. The prayer was organised by a group called the Jamahiriya Peace Club in Tamale. Imams drawn from various parts of the northern region gathered at the Ghana Libya School in Tamale where they recited the Holy Quran and asked for Allah�s mercy and blessing on the soul of Brother Gaddafi and other members of his retinue who were killed by the NATO supported Libyan rebels. Yakubu Iddrisu, a spokesperson of the club, described the late Libyan leader as �Father for all Africans. � He said Ghanaians who lived in Libya enjoyed maximum freedom and protection under the leadership of the late nothern African country's leader. Iddrisu condemned NATO for the major role it played during the raid on Libya which claimed several lives including that of the late Libyan leader.
