Well Fight NDC From Rigging In 2012 - NPP

The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Moctar Bamba, has stated that the NPP will join forces with other opposition parties in the country to thwart any attempt by the ruling NDC to rig the 2012 elections. Alhaji Bamba has alleged a conspiracy by the NDC and its government machinery to manipulate next years general elections in their favour. Speaking to Citi News, Alhaji Bamba said the NDCs refusal to go for the biometric verification is a proof to his claims. He said the opposition parties will make sure the election is free and fair. What we are fighting for is free and fair election, if there is going to be a registration in March, from now to March we are going to see what will happen, he said. Without the verification, then we should forget about it [biometric] and go for the old system. We cant sit down for people to be cheating us and do what they want to do without us doing anything. Meanwhile, the propaganda secretary of the NDC, Richard Quashigah, has described the accusation as one by the NPP to cover up their intention to rig the election. Quashigah said: To say that the NDC is planning to rig the election is an excuse to carry out their diabolic agenda of election violence in 2012. A founding member of the NPP, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has also called on the chairman of the electoral commission to heed to the calls of Ghanaians concerning the biometric verification. Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe who had insisted there shall be no registration without verification reiterated his point for the EC boss to relax his strong stance on the biometric verification. Speaking to Citi News, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe said the peace Ghanaians want to enjoy during the 2012 elections cannot be compared to the US$20 million needed for the biometric verification.
