Ghana's Most Beautiful 2011: 4 Face Off

Come Sunday, the final of TV3�s Ghana�s Most Beautiful pageant will come off at the National Theatre and four out of the initial 10 contestants, Akweley from the Greater Accra region, Akua from the Ashanti region, Enam from the Volta region and Abena from the Brong Ahafo region will battle it out to determine who becomes Ghana�s Most Beautiful 2011. Felix Dontoh, head of brands at TV3, told Showbiz last Monday the ultimate prize package comprises a Kia Rio saloon car, GH� 7,000, a one year supply of GTP Nustyle and six months supply of Voltic Natural water. The first runner-up will take home GH �6,000, the second runner-up will also be given GH� 5,000 while the fourth will take home GH� 4,000. According to Mr Dontoh, the final is going to be spectacular, � artistes billed to thrill the audience include Nana Acheampong, 4X4, Cecilia Marfo, Sherifa Gunu, Michael Adamgba and Kesse�. He encouraged people to vote for their favourite since it is going to be a 50-50 affair for the public and the judges, �I will urge everyone to vote massively for their favourites so that in the end we will have a winner who will represent the brand. Ghana�s Most Beautiful themed Redifining Beauty to Promote National Unity started in 2007 when Ama from the Central region won the crown. In 2008, the crown went to Adoley from the Greater Accra region, Nasara from the Northern region won in 2009 and Ama from the Eastern region won in 2010. Which region will produce the next winner? Akua is 23 years old and represents the Ashanti region. She hails from Kuntenasi and likes reading and acting. Her passion? �I feel sad when I see children and their parents on the street. We are one people from one Ghana and I want to be the voice of the voiceless.� 26-year-old Akweley represents the Greater Accra region and comes from Otublohum. She likes reading and singing and is passionate about advocating for good sanitation in Ghana. Enam from Woe Abutia represents the Volta region. She is 22 years old and likes reading and cooking. She says, �child labour is so high along our coastal belt and farming communities. I want to help curtail it.� Abena is 24 years old and represents the Brong Ahafo region. She comes from Bomaa and likes reading, �the girl child needs to be educated and that is why I advocate for girl child education�, she says.
