Press Statement By Friends Of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings (FONKAR)

The attention of the Central Regional Chapter of the Friends of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings (FONKAR) has been drawn to a purported press conference held by some mischievous elements and nonentities in Cape Coast claiming to be FONKAR executive members and have resigned from the GREAT ORGANISATION. We categorically state that none of our card bearing members has resigned from the organisation and the executives and the entire members of the Central Regional FONKAR are united and we are solidly behind Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings and President Rawlings, the founder of our party. Many attempts have been made, in the past to destroy the reputation of the Rawlingses, all to no avail. And now they are trying again. They have failed and they will continue to fail. This disgraceful act was orchestrated by the ungrateful and disgraceful elements in the party who were brought into political limelight by Mr & Mrs Rawlings. Ama Benyiwa Doe, the now Regional Minister was discovered by Mr. Rawlings, nurtured and clothed by Mrs. Rawlings. The collaborators of this shameful act are Allotey Jacobs, the so-called Communications Ditrector who is well known to most of the party people as NDC Bob Okala, Mr. Adu Yeboah, the Regional Party Chairman and Abeiku Aggrey, the Regional Organiser. Those who are bent on destroying Mrs. Rawlings and her family from within or outside of the NDC must desist from it or be well prepared for the fight of their lives. FONKAR is well organised group and dues paying and card bearing members are ready to die for the Rawlingses. So if anyone claims to be a member or an executive member, we would like the interviewers to ask of his/her membership card and number. We do not deal with ingrates and hypocrites. At this juncture, we call on President Mills to call these mischievous elements to order else he will suffer for it. We, the Central Region FONKAR will do everything within our power to make Nana Konadu and Jerry Rawlings relevant. Central Regional FONKAR would hold a mega press conference on the 26th of November, 2011 to re-affirm our commitment to defend and protect the Rawlingses and also to state our position in the party and the national politics. Long live Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings! Long Live NDC! Long live FONKAR!
