NPP Supporters Asked To Intensify Campaign

The National Women�s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ms Afisa Otiko Gyaba, has asked supporters to step up their electioneering to win more votes for NPP ahead of Election 2012. She was inaugurating the party�s Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency women�s wing, at Bibiani. Ms Gyaba asked the NPP women to champion the campaign to educate the electorate on the party�s ideology and why it should be returned to power. She said: �We cannot any longer afford to sit on the sidelines. We have to take the centre stage and work hard to make things happen.� Ms Gyaba asked the women to display political maturity and avoid to be drawn into the trading of insults and name calling. Ms Otiko Gyaba also underlined the need for internal party unity to prevent unnecessary distractions. She appealed to the electorate vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the NPP flagbearer, and Mr Kinsley Aboagye Gyedu, the party�s parliamentary candidate for the area. Ms Gyaba said they electorate should reject the National Democratic Congress for poor performance that had brought untold economic suffering to the people. Madam Abena Koala, NPP Western Regional Women�s Organiser, called on the women to work hard to enable NPP win the upcoming elections. Mrs Janet Oppong Danso, NPP Constituency Women�s Organiser, pledged the women�s determination to lead the struggle to return NPP to power.
