Man City Scout Tips Mohammed Abu For Greatness

Manchester City chief scout for Africa Fred Ohaugen has predicted a bright future for Ghana midfielder Mohammed Abu. The 20-year-old was handed two-year renewable deal by the English giant following an impressive outing with Norwegian top-flight side Stromsgodset . Abu is expected to be named in Goran Stevanovics 23-man squad for Ghanas 2012 Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea after impressing under the Serb. Ohaugen believes his progression is going as planned as sees him playing for the Eastland side in the coming years. He told Accra-based Citi FM: He is only 20 for someone so young hes come over two years and developed unbelievable in the last 18-months. Hes really hardworking, hes excellent on the ball and hes learning all the time and most importantly when he gets criticism and or does something wrong, he listen to his managers coaches and tries to do something about it. You will never know how a player will develop. But with what hes done in the last 18 months, has made us think he has got a future with Man City. Manager Mancini has been impressed with him and since the Norwegian league is over he has joined City to train with the first team.
