Tony Yeboah Pays Tribute To Gary Speed

Former Ghana striker Anthony Yeboah has expressed shock upon hearing the news of his former Leeds United team-mate Garry Speed's passing. The football world was left stunned on Sunday by the sudden death of Wales manager Speed. He was found hanged by Cheshire Police at a home in Huntingdon that he shared with his wife and two sons just after 7am on Sunday morning. Yeboah told an Accra-based radio station Citi FM that he had been in constant contact with the 42-year-old, who he described as responsible and a family man. I could not believe it, Yeboah opined. He is very calm and didnt have any problem. Speed and Yeboah were team-mates at Leeds United from from 1995 to 1996, and they remained friends throughout their football careers, and continued to speak to each other often, even recently. "The last time I spoke to him was two weeks ago when I was in London. He's a family man and very responsible so this came as a shock."
