Samia Nkrumah Is Being Used - Sekou

Dr Sekou Nkrumah has observed that some big shots within the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) are taking advantage of the political immaturity of his sister Samia Nkrumah to promote their selfish agenda. Samia, who is the CPP chairperson, descended on the partys 2008 flagbearer Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom on Monday for being behind a scheme to stampede the party into having an early congress. Dr Nkrumah told Citi News that his sisters recent accusations and threats of expulsion of Dr Nduom from the CPP betrays her bias against the 2012 presidential aspirant. Dr Nkrumah suspected that certain people within the CPP are feeding on what he described as Samias political inexperience to manipulate and mislead her into maligning and treating Dr Nduom as an outcast within the party to pave way for her preferred candidate. He said his sister hit below the belt when she described Dr. Nduoms behavior as nonsense. Ill sympathise with Dr. Nduom because he has made his intent to run for president, Dr. Nkrumah said. It looks like the party chair is taking sides. Her position to single out Dr. Nduom as somebody who is trying to create problem is most unfortunate. He added: There are factions in the party and she as chairperson is supposed to bring them together. Im told that some of them [other presidential hopefuls] are the ones trying to push her in that direction and that serves their own selfish interest.
