Kweku Baako: Of All CPP Aspirants, Theres None Better Than Nduom

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr, has categorically stated that the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has no better candidate to lead the party as its flagbearer in the 2012 elections than Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom. To him, there is none (among the potential CPP presidential aspirants) comparable to Dr Nduom when it comes to political creative thinking, strategy and logistical capacity stressing that the 2008 CPP flagbearer has demonstrated unmatched commitment to the success of the party. Contributing to discussions on the recent brouhaha within the CPP on Peace FMs Kokrokoo Morning Show, Kweku Baako stated that as much as he is all for the CPP building its strength at the roots level than focusing attention at the presidency, he believes Nduom is still a better candidate than most. of all the aspirants who are displaying themselves for the presidential slot, if you tell me to make a choice; there is none better than Nduom. In terms of political creative thinking, strategy, logistical capacity and all that, it is the fact that nobody is comparable to himI can tell you if the congress is held even one day to the election (2012) Nduom will still winIn terms of organisation, in terms of commitment, he is better than most of all those people who are trying to put themselves out there as flagbearers even though I will not support him [in the presidential election], he said. He accused the other aspirants of contributing to the unbridled internal wrangling within the CPP, saying they make all sorts of noise that theyve contributed to the success of the party but are never able to give any material evidence. The outspoken Senior Journalist described as unfortunate the verbal altercation between the partys chairperson, Samia Nkrumah and pro-Nduom members and claimed that some leading members seem happy to see Samia Nkrumah and Dr Nduom having a go at each other. He noted that the election of new executives brought some spirit, new image and some dynamism into the party, but sadly the CPP failed to build on it whiles the recent altercation has created a picture of a divided front and party in crisis. Kweku Baako however made nonsense of allegations that Samia was in league with the NDC, stressing that all this falsehood which is being peddled about the CPP has caused the party a lot and it will take a hell of time to restore the integrity and credibility of the party.
