uniBank Appoints Head of Communication

The management of uniBank Ghana Limited has appointed Mrs. Ruth Benny Wood as the Head of Communication and Public Relations, effective September of this year, in line with the banks� restructuring exercise to position it in a competitive market. Prior to her elevation, she was the Manager in charge of Corporate Sales with the responsibility to implement and manage the plans and strategies for institutional banking through developing the relationship management of institutions. For over four years, Mrs. Benny Wood has taken on a number of uniBank's most significant challenges, including business development, policy and strategy formulation, and made it her personal mission and that of uniBank to become one of the best indigenous banks in the country. Her unique mix of strategic vision, passion and discipline combined with her intimate understanding of banking communications makes her the right person to take this new position. Having gained considerable experience in banking operations, frontline and relationship banking, she brings on-board both an insightful understanding of the strategic imperatives of uniBanks� businesses as well as a savvy operational focus. Mrs. Benny Wood comes to this position with eight years of continuous working experience in the banking industry, after having spent a year with the Mirror Department of the Graphic Communications Group. She holds an MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in English with French, all from the University of Ghana, Legon. She is also deepening her knowledge in policy analytical skills by pursuing an MA in Economic Policy Management at the Economics Department of the same university.
