Total Petroleum Supports Flood Victims

Total Petroleum Ghana has donated relief items worth GH20,000 to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) for distribution to disaster victims across the country. The gesture was necessitated by the recent floods in different parts of the country which claimed some lives and destroyed properties worth millions of cedis. The items -- made up of mattresses, blankets, pillows, rice, soap, and mosquito nets -- were presented on behalf of Total Petroleum by Richard Debrah (Health and Safety Manager) and Mrs. Mercy Samson (Corporate Services Manager). Making the presentation, Richard Debrah said the Management and staff of Total Petroleum were touched by the plight of the victims, particularly those who had been displaced. He added that the company has been involved in various community intervention activities in the areas of road safety, health and education. Receiving the items, the Chief Disaster Control Officer for NADMO, Asomaning Odei-Mensah, expressed their appreciation for the kind gesture and appealed to other corporate bodies to support the organisation.
